Company Accreditation is open to all companies who install or supply spray polyurethane foam, regardless of SPFA Member or Non-Member status.

PCP Accredited Companies

  • Understand insulation and roofing projects must be installed correctly in order to achieve optimum performance.
  • Know the spectrum of sprayfoam products, their application, handling and use guidelines.
  • Demonstrate their commitment to quality services by providing safety and training programs.
  • Possess professional accreditation credentials to validate their professionalism
  • Employ certified individuals who have demonstrated their knowledge, skills and abilities to earn their individual certifications.

SPFA PCP Contractor Accreditation Handbook

Specifically designed for contractor companies involved in the application/installation of SPF in Insulation and Roofing Projects.

An Accredited Company has made a commitment to work in compliance with stringent health and safety guidelines and best practices application procedures with requisite staff of SPFA PCP Certified professionals.

SPFA PCP Contractor Company Accreditation is open to all contractor companies who install spray polyurethane foam, regardless of SPFA Member or Non-Member status, as long as they meet the criteria.

There are two categories of Accreditation for the Contractor Company:

  • SPFA PCP Accredited Company Insulation
  • SPFA PCP Accredited Company Roofing

NOTE: A Contractor Company may also become accredited in both Insulation and Roofing.

Accreditation is based upon the SPF contractor company meeting the criteria set forth in the certification scheme as described in the SPF Contractor Company Accreditation Handbook. Accredited contractor companies will be required to employ certified individuals.

Companies which operate using good business practices can easily meet most of this criteria and just need to have the appropriate personnel become SPFA PCP Certified to meet the other criteria.

Steps to Accreditation:

  1. Complete and submit forms
    1. Enrollment – Accreditation Form (Please submit payment after all steps are completed)
    2. Company Liaison Checklist
    3. Company Experience Form
    4. Accreditation Agreement
  2. Submit Documents
    1. Proof of Business - Copy of License or Registration
    2. Certificate of Insurance
    3. Safety Program and Training Requirements
      1. Copy of Written Safety Program (Available through the SPFA. Included with SPFA membership)
      2. Tool Box Talks (Available through the SPFA. Included with SPFA membership)
      3. Annual Training (as required by OSHA standards)
  3. Personnel
    1. All SPF Field Personnel – SPFA PCP Certified
    2. Certified Individuals (Based on # of employees)
      • 1-10 SPF employees in company
        • 1 Project Manager
        • 1 Master Installer or Installer*
      • 11-20 SPF employees in company
        • 1 Project Manager
        • 2 Master Installers or Installers*

SPFA PCP Supplier Accreditation Handbook

The Supplier Company Accreditation Program is specifically designed for a Supplier Company that provides materials, equipment and services in the SPF Industry. 

There are two categories of Accreditation for Supplier Companies:

     • Insulation
     • Roofing

NOTE: A company may be accredited in both Insulation and Roofing.

Accredited Supplier Companies employ PCP Certified Supplier Representatives and operate using good business practices which meet the PCP criteria can become PCP Accredited.

Steps to Accreditation:

  1. Complete and Submit Forms
    1. Enrollment – Accreditation Form (Please submit payment after all steps are completed)
    2. Company Liaison Checklist
    3. Accreditation Agreement
  2. Documentation​
    1. Code of Conduct
      • Spray Foam Coalition (SFC) Code of Conduct Document OR
      • Verification that a written manual exists which describes your Best Practices/Risk Management Program
    2. Confirmation that a third-party verification firm is issued for quality assurance purposes
    3. Tech Data Sheets, SDS and Installation Instruction readily available to contractors
  3. Personnel
    1. All SPF Personnel – Complete CPI H&S online course
    2. Qualified Individuals
      • Field Examiner - Minimum of 1 employed or contracted
      • Written Examiner - Minimum of 2 employed or contracted
      • Supplier Representative(s) must successfully complete the SPFA PCP Suppler Representative Certification
