SPFA’s Mission
The SPFA’s core mission is to support the health of the industry and to serve its participants, promoting best practices and growth through a number of core initiatives, educational resources, events and much more. Here are some of the alliance’s key areas of focus:
Technical Resources
The SPFA offers members and other construction industry stakeholders a wide variety of technically focused literature, installation best practices and safety materials. All are designed to provide guidance to professionals in the field, with the goal of optimizing the performance of spray foam in roofing and insulation applications.
Professional Certifications
Designed by the industry to promote safety and the highest standards of excellence in spray foam installation, the SPFA Professional Certification Program (PCP) is available to installers, contractors and suppliers active in the industry. Providing a way for customers to vet spray foam professionals, the certification also notably provides a means for installers and contractors to market themselves as true professionals. The certification program is internationally recognized and ISO-17024 compliant.
Legislative Advocacy
The SPFA advocates for its members and the industry at-large on a variety of pressing state and federal issues.
Publications
The SPFA publishes Sprayfoam Professional, a quarterly magazine dedicated to providing key information about the spray foam industry. The magazine features standout spray foam applications, pertinent legislative updates, news about the association itself, and much more. The SPFA also publishes a bi-weekly e-newsletter, SprayfoamPro Newswire, which offers timely updates for members.
Events
The SPFA hosts the annual Sprayfoam Show Convention & Expo, the country’s largest event dedicated solely to all things spray polyurethane foam. The alliance also periodically hosts regional events, bringing together contractors and industry participants for learning, business and networking opportunities.
